dark panel desired!

24 Dec 2020, 09:10

as I am building my site on a dark basis it is unpleasant to always switch between that and the white panel - specially in those dark times ;-) any way to have a dark grey panel? thank you, karl, and a nice 24th of december, however you make it! (I finally went for your CMS, not least because of your great support!)

I agree, a dark admin panel would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the request. Dark panel is not currently possible, but I will consider it for a new panel 2.0, which is scheduled for 2021  :star:

Hello,

I know this thread is several years old, but I would also like to see a dark panel design. Has that been implemented in 2021? I can't find a setting for this?

I am slowly moving towards using Files Gallery as control panel for X3:
https://demo.files.gallery/
https://www.files.gallery/

If you check your /files/ dir, you will see you already have Files Gallery included with your X3. It has "dark" mode, and superior file viewer and manager capabilities. For now, it can't modify X3 settings though, so it's just a bonus-app and alternative to using the X3 panel.

In the future, the X3 panel will be built on Files Gallery, and there you already have your "dark" mode.

I'm not sure what you mean "/ dir". There should only be /files/index.php, and probably the /files/_files storage dir folder. You run it in browser from {yourwebsite}/files, same as with the demo:

That's your X3 website application.

It's basically this, for your X3 content:
https://demo.files.gallery/

As you can see, it's fast, has themes, easy to use, translated, has sort and filter capabilities, and the file management (upload, move, copy etc) is more effective than in X3. But it's just for viewing or managing files, as it can't manage your actual X3 website settings/pages.
