I did some research, and it turns out this issue is not directly related to the audio player. Instead, the issue is caused by an underlying issue with your server being hosted on
Windows, and some load PATHS being corrupted by backwards \\slashes. It is really just a coincidence that it works in Explorer, as this browser seems to ignore the backslashes.
I should be able to fix this bug, and bake it into the new release coming next week. Any chance you could offer me FTP login, so I could easily implement a working fix? If not, I will still solve it somehow.

reference, the problem occurs because on your host, X3 javascript tries to load "\\/app/x3.api.php", whereas it should be "/app/x3.api.php". Explorer seems to correct the path automatically, whereas other browsers will mistakingly try to load "
http://app/x3.api.php".
