Styling of scroll up menu

In the layout settings I have selected "Fixed on scroll up" for the topbar menu. It works fine, but the logo is bigger than in the actual topbar menu and the menu height is smaller which results in an ugly/jumpy transition when you scroll all the way up to the top. I think I'd be able to tweak the CSS but I want to bring it up here because I can see no reason for this behaviour. Is this intentional?
