Yep. We have more plans for passwords/login, but for now we had to just add the core working functionality.

Soon, we will add custom login dialog box, that triggers before the page attempts to load (if clicked from menu). Then, after user/pass submit, it will attempt to verify the login first, before it navigates to the page on success. On login failure, it will display a "not authorized" message dynamically, directly in the custom login box, without loading a new page ... which means it will remain on the page the visitor is currently on, if the login fails.
