Did you check the docs and demos? We already have such an option, which if I may say so myself, is superior to the ones in those links. Try it yourself:

That is very nice. I did not realise you could reconfigure the menu so easily.

This new X3 is going to take some getting used to...

Good work Karl!

The layout settings are documented here, with a few examples:
https://www.photo.gallery/x3docs/settings/layout/

Topbar center
https://www.photo.gallery/demo/x3/?layout=topbar-center

Topbar left
https://www.photo.gallery/demo/x3/?layout=topbar-float

Sidebar left
https://www.photo.gallery/demo/x3/?layout=sidebar

Sidebar right
https://www.photo.gallery/demo/x3/?layout=sidebar-right

Slidemenu
https://www.photo.gallery/x3docs/settings/layout/

Until we launch a proper theme (skin/font/layout) viewer, these settings are not properly emphasized.

You need to fix a one or two of them...

Invalid Syntax.
https://www.photo.gallery/demo/x3/?layout=sidebar%logo-fixed

This doesn't float on scroll.
https://www.photo.gallery/demo/x3/?layout=topbar-float

It would seem not all 'topbar' items float down the page. Oh wait, 'fixed' is to make the topbar "sticky" to the top of the screen on scroll?
This think "Sidebar Logo Fixed" should be "?layout=sidebar-logo-fixed"
