You can already do this, although I need to add a dedicated section in panel custom/javascript/ just like you already have for custom/css/.

You can then add them to the footer, or to specific pages (inside the content). We will not offer dedicated settings for this, personally I believe they will entirely ruin the design and layout, and definitely affect performance also as each page would likely need to load a 3rd party iframe.

Do you have a specific module that you currently want to add? Did you do the math on how much you can earn through things like adsense? Normally, it would require a very high volume to make anything substantial, and is normally used on pages that are just displaying information and doesn't have the task of displaying functional- and attractive pages to view images.

For me... the point of the ad banners is to drive traffic to e-commerce sites that I own... www.bentgate.com and www.goldenbikeshop.com

When I complete an adventure and post pictures and trip details to www.merelyafleshwound.com... I post those galleries to various forums depending on the subject matter.

It would be nice to be able to drive traffic to my e-commerce sites using the content on Merely a Flesh Wound.

Initially the locations I would look to post the ad banners would be in the footer of the site... and in the headers of the folder and gallery pages.

The ad services that we currently employ are Google Adsense and http://www.avantlink.com/ affiliate program.

If this approach does not work... I can always just make the banner's and put them into the pages... but using the services provides a lot of additional information.

I definitely want to keep the site looking as sharp as possible and not muck it up with a bunch of junk... but I also want to be able to use it for business as well as fun.

I am curious though, if you will basically be marketing your own websites, then why not add your own custom graphic banners or html-based banners directly to the sections on the page where you want to display them? That would offer full control, and best integration with the design- and layout, and would not affect performance to any degree. What is the point of using 3rd party solutions, unless you want to employ random advertising to unknown 3rd parties websites? I mean, what is the advantage of using adsense if you already know the links and just want to drive traffic to your own websites?

If you just want to extract statistics about clicks and leads, then there must be much better options for doing that than integrating an add-network into your website. To varying degree, visitors don't like ads and don't like to click them either ... I NEVER click them. If you have your own "friendly" banners, they may seem more related and inviting, and won't affect design and performance of your website.

yep... I can do that... especially with respect to Adsense.

The advantage to using the Avantlink affiliate banners (which would be for my ecommerce sites only) is that it gives me a good way to participate as an actual affiliate and see how my affiliate management team is doing.

However... for a quick fix... I can do as you suggested.
