Hello,

is there the possibilty for an option to hide the main menu from a subgallery?
I'm often make a temp sub gallery and send the link to somebody to show and download some pictures.
but i don't want that these persons see on the first sight the complete main gallery menus and the subfolders.
I know that the person can also check the url.

best regards
Carsten

EDIT: "parent menu" replaced by "main menu"

It's not entirely clear to me what you mean "hide the parent menu from a subgallery". When you create a "temp sub gallery", can't you just click the "hide" button for the new temp gallery? When a page is hidden, it will not display in any menu, but the "secret link" is still available for you to share.

Or do you mean that you want to create hidden pages that don't show the main menu at all?

It is possible, although it's not really how X3 works. The main menu is "global" and will always be part of the page, unless you have entirely disabled the menu. Your options:

Hide menu
When you create a new page, go to the settings > page > advanced > page body classes, and add the no-header class. This body class will effectively hide the entire header and main menu from the page.

Separate X3 website
Since you want to create temporary pages without the main menu, it sounds to me like you want to be able to create temporary galleries entirely independent from your main X3 website. If so, you could consider installing a separate X3 in a subfolder "clients" (or whatever). You could then disable the menu and design it only for your temporary galleries.

Optionally, you might consider our new Files app if you simply want to show a specific gallery to clients (etc).

thank you for this solution, the "no header" option works good for me.
and you are right, for my temporary galleries like party pics will be a second gallery useful without a menu.
