Settings > Advanced > Copy ICC color profile.
Image
This setting is disabled by default, because it requires additional processing in the resizer script. Images should really be saved in the default sRGB color space to start with, because custom embedded color profiles aren't supported by all browsers. Enable this setting if you are uploading images with specific embedded color profiles.

Actually, sorry I was mistaken in first post. The option I referred to was to copy color profile from original upload to resized images.

However, in your case you speak of the original image uploaded changes color. You cannot compare colors from photos viewed on your windows desktop app. You need to open the image and compare images in BROWSER (before and after). Please send me the original image and I will take a look. The resizer maintains color profile, but that doesn't mean your browser supports the color profile.

I can see the video, but:

1. I cannot see what panel upload settings you have.

2. Why do you have your  image stored in a color profile which no visitors will have?
Image

3. Since your color profile is not supported, when the images from here will obviously look the same:
Image

4. Just for double reference, even without copying color profiles, here are the two images uploaded:
Original (not resized)
Resized (on upload)

I have studied the results in detail, and except for different quality and dimensions, color is identical. If you see something different, that must be a special color profile only you can see (which is useless for the web of course). I can only try to recreate the issue from your video by following the exact path as you are doing from your server, but in the end of the day, this is related to color profiles incompatible with the web and unrelated to X3.

Just to conclude a bit further: You are using a color space that other's can't see, and even if the color space is inherited properly on the resized image (or not), it doesn't work for others. So regardless of the differences you see, you need to aim for an uploaded format that does not inherit your web-incompatible nikon-srgb color profile.

All I can do from here, is if you give me login to your panel, I will attempt to upload the "original" image you sent me earlier via dropbox. I will upload three  versions:
  1. Upload not resized.
  2. Upload with resize and ICC color copy.
  3. Upload with resize, without ICC color copy.
I will also compare thumbnails created from the three versions.

I already showed you that there is no difference in uploads here. To complicate matters more, you are using a non-default ICC color profile, which I am not sure if is supported by your screen only or what. Essentially, this is something in the crosshair between your image's color profile, compatibility for this, browsers and your web server. X3 can copy the ICC profile, but if the ICC profile is incompatible with the web, it could be only you can see this anyway.I can't diagnose with just videos and text explanations, and I need panel login to give a full diagnosis. Also, now you say that you changed to a non-custom color profile, yet still the resizer changes the color? hmm, I wonder how that is possible.

We already dealt with this in X3 a long time ago, because most of our X3 gallery owners are photographers. A) X3 either copies color profile, or it not (if you don't have ICC color copy enabled). B ) It is recommended to keep this OFF anyway, because why are you using custom color profiles through to web images when they will not be supported by any visitors?

I need to test from your panel for full diagnosis so I can check from here and you can check from there for the same uploaded images. X3 does not change colors for an image on resize. It might NOT copy the color profile, but that is all. If it changed colors, we would have many more complaints.

Re: Change colour after upload photo with Image Resize?!

Ok, so I have uploaded TWO images. First image is the original, un-touched by the X3 uploader. Second image is resized to 1600 px from the image uploader. In addition to comparing the two uploaded images, we will compare the resized images of both uploads. I don't know if you see something different from your screen, but that would not be logical, especially since both are sRGB.

First the two uploaded images. Colors are identical:

Original upload
https://sergeyshulgin.com/content/color ... iginal.jpg
Image

Resized upload
https://sergeyshulgin.com/content/colortest/resized.jpg
Image

Now let's look at the resized versions (1024 px) that X3 creates for those two images. Colors identical:

Resize created from original
https://sergeyshulgin.com/render/w1024/ ... iginal.jpg
Image

Resize created from resized upload
https://sergeyshulgin.com/render/w1024/ ... esized.jpg
Image

Of course, just for reference, here are the two square resized versions also that you were referring in your video. The same resize process as above and same colors:

Original
https://sergeyshulgin.com/render/w200-c ... iginal.jpg
Image

Resized
https://sergeyshulgin.com/render/w200-c ... esized.jpg
Image

Here you can even compare the images size-by-side:
https://sergeyshulgin.com/colortest/
Image

It's really not logical to see color changes from the resized images. How would that be possible if you use a standard color profile? X3 does not change the color profile (to what), and you can check that in the images color profile setting. It would only change the color profile if you 1. specifically had a non-default color profile, and 2. selected to copy ICC color profile, in which case X3 would copy the non-default color profile to downsized images.

I can't quite tell you exactly what you experienced on your side (since I cannot reproduce it), but it's definitely a combination of 1. Uploading images with color profiles that are not commonly supported (essentially only supported on your screen in the browser), 2. Copy ICC color profile disabled in resize settings, 3. Possibly caching issue: If you were re-uploading images with the same name after changing settings, it would not re-create the resized image, which might have been incorrect, from your screen.

Incorrectly changing colors on upload/resize is not a feature of X3. Depending on settings, either it will copy the color profile, or it will not ... Essentially, if you are uploading images to the web with a color profile, you will have problems anyway, so it should be avoided.

Yes. I see.
But if I upload image with resize (X3 option), I see other colors. I open image in my iPhone, send link of image to my friends. We see a other colors. :-(

I cleared the cookie files but it did not help.

Could you see with the TeamViewer?

Can you create a new folder and upload TWO images, one with and one without resizer? Then give me link. I will need to compare from here, not from a video.

You mean you see different colors than your friends? Or you mean both you and your friends see different colors? From the images I uploaded? Or from images you uploaded earlier?

I need links to the images that look DIFFERENT so I can compare myself.

I checked images you have uploaded earlier. The original is uploaded with color profile NIKON sRGB, and I believe that color profile is inherited to the resized (smaller version) of the same image also. From here, the images are identical, checked on both desktop and iPhone. Likely my screens don't even support NIKON sRGB anyway, so the images would be open to the browsers interpretation, which would likely make them look identical (on the same device), but it could make them look different between different devices (because the devices must interpret the unsupported color profile).

I don't see what teamviewer will help. You can copy my process in my previous post, and see if you see different colors. And then post the link to me. Surely that would resolve the issue?

Re: Change colour after upload photo with Image Resize?!

Yes, they are different colors.

So I am wondering ... How come when I uploaded the images with and without resize, it worked perfectly. But when you upload images with and without resize, this happens? I did some further tests:

1. Let me upload the original WITH RESIZE from here.
Image

2. Select image, with RESIZE selected.
Image

3. After upload with RESIZE option. Clearly the image is colored identical to the original. How you got that image of yours uploaded like that is a mystery, but it's not consistent with the X3 upload resizer.
Image

4. Furthermore, let's compare my resized image with yours. I wonder how yours is 40% larger file size for the same resize dimensions 1600 px width. And the colors changed.
Image

If I didn't know better, I would claim that your resized image is from an original with a different color profile than the uploaded un-resized original. The only other logical explanation, is that there is something very wrong with your browser in the upload process. Surely you would have to agree.

The only next step I can take, is ask a few other people from here to do the exact same process as me: Upload the original with "resize" option checked, and let's see if the resized version changes color. If the resized image is same color as original, surely you must admit there is a flaw on your side? Either you are uploading an original with a different color profile, of there is some serious problem in your browser.

I'm getting a bit tired making long responses and extensive tests to this post now. Clearly I have proved some points in my recent posts. The only next step if you still think the flaw is not on your side, would be to ask 2-3 users to upload the original image with resize-option checked (exactly as I did in this post). If the color of resized is identical with the original, surely you would have to agree the issue is on your side? In which case, I already gave you two logical reasons of how the issue might exist on your side.

I found the cause of my problem :-)
I open another internet browser, and upload image with resize. Color is perfect.
Thus, I realized that the cause of the problem lies in the Internet browser.
I open my Mozilla Firefox with disabled all addons > Upload image > Perfect color.)
Image
After I enable addons > Then i started to disable the plugins one by one.
"BetterPrivacy" addon is causing my problem.
