It looks like my issue happen with one of these 2 reasons :
  • compressing pictures with ImageOptim
  • uploading picture via FTP (even if there's no permission error (705)

I'm wondering, did you change something after posting? I seem to remember trying it earlier today in Firefox and there was an error, but now it works fine in my Firefox, with no errors:

Yes, I deleted all picture and I stop using ImageOptim (a perfect software to compress picture !!!!!)
Looks like using LR export simply makes it working as expected ...

I also use ImageOptim, and have used it for all images in the X3 demo gallery. I can't quite understand how it is related. If so, it must be some tiny issues that happens to corrupt something in one or more of your images. It is not normal.

I sent you my .ZIP archive if you agree to have a look.
If not, be sure I will understand.

I downloaded and uploaded some (20-30) of the images into a gallery, and it worked fine in Firefox.

Really not sure what the problem was, but something small and circumstantial that would require deep examination.

Now that I discover the issue, I tried to connect with firefox to my over private galeries
Not sure this is the exact same issue but some galeries are not working with firefox (and all fine in/with Chrome)

Note that the only changes done on my galerie was done by you around the htaccess as far as I remember.
Note that issue seems to be only in the private galeries /Album-Mariages/ folder (the rest of public  part /portfolio/ and /portfolio/Categories/ are not affected)

After some research, it seems the issue is related to Firefox 640K character limit in HTML5 Pushstate().

I will be looking into a workaround for this in next X3 release, to avoid the error on very large X3 pages.

Hi Karl,
Hope you're fine.
Any idea when you think next x3 release will be available ? :)

I'm more or less done with the Panorama plugin, which is the core part of new release X3.26. There should be a release within two weeks that includes the fix for the issue referenced in this topic.

X3.26.0 beta was silently released today, and this issue should be resolved. Update from Panel > Tools > X3 Updates.

In fact, I re-coded the entire AJAX/history functionality. Full page data is now stored in HTML5 localStorage and/or Javascript object, and never inside the browsers history.state object, where Firefox has 640kb limitation. Navigation and history (browser back button) should also be snappier now.

Please let me know if the issue is resolved for you after update.
