No Menu Settings/Gallery

07 Dec 2017, 20:28

I'm having an issue with the menu items. Under Manage, I get no options for the menu tree items. Under the '1.index', '2.galleries' and '3.examples' links,  the settings tab and the gallery tab both have no objects under them. However, for the '4.contact' I get options under 'Settings' and 'Gallery' shows 'No files and folders'. I've tried different browsers with no luck. Using the demo site, everything displays/acts correctly to the best of my knowledge. The 'upload' and 'new' buttons also do not work. I'm unable to delete anything from the default install under these menu items.

Turning X3 Diagnostics on shows the 'Everything seems to be OK!'. I've tried removing all files from the web server and reinstalling using the x3_installer.php file. Everything looks to install correctly. I can get in, make changes in under the 'Settings' tab, but nothing under manage.

Ubuntu 16.04
Apache2
Php7
X3 3.24.2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Understood, but I can't diagnose this without a link ... There is nothing wrong with Ubuntu/Apache/PHP obviously. It could be anything from missing files, corrupted files, server firewall, incorrect permissions. This is clearly a server-related issue and not related to browsers.

Link to your website at least, but login to your panel would make it easy to diagnose. Send in PM if you want.

I wanted to reply that this has been resolved. Installing the PHP-XML module fix the issue above. Thanks for your help Karl!

Is it exactly the same problem? If so, did you try to install PHP-XML, which is a standard (and required) PHP extension?
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/387 ... -installed

I am not sure how servers with PHP are missing this extension in the first place ... must be a specific server dev installation. It's a core part of PHP, and is always standard on hosting services. I'll add a CHECK for this extension in next release.

If it is a DIFFERENT problem, I would require link and login to your control panel so I can diagnose.

Since X3.24.3, X3 diagnostics will report missing PHP-XML extension:
