Panel defect

09 Jun 2017, 02:20

Hello,

after copying one existing page into the root of my website, the panel navigation is "destroyed" - there is no left navigation panel any longer... :( The website itself is still fine, also when I log in with an other browser (Chrome instead of Safari) the panel still works finde - but in safari the navigation is gone. Already cleared cache, logged of and on and also deleted the page, that caused the problem...

Hope you can help me.

Regards
Daniel

Hello Karl,

Could you also tell me how to authorize the licence?

This would be a browser "localstorage" (html5 browser cookies) issue, which I think should be solved in latest release X3.23.0. I would wait a day or two before updating, as I'm adding a few fixes to this release before it is officially launched.

Safari browser? You could likely resolve it by first logging in to panel, then going to menu Develop > Show Web Inspector > Storage (tab) > Local Storage, and then deleting all items you see on the right. Personally, I would have liked to see if the update (likely ready tomorrow), would automatically solve it for you though.

You already have an X3 license? If yes, then I can authorize brise18.de domain for you. Domain authorization for X3 is usually done when you purchase the X3 license. If you don't already have an X3 license, you need to acquire one here (go to "upgrade" if you are upgrading from X2).

Hello Karl, yes I already have a license, but when buying the license, I didn't had the domain so I did not authorize it... ;) So it would be great if you could authorize the domain.

And I will wait for the update and will give you feedback if it solves the problem automatically. ;)

Hi @daniels,

Please feel free to update to latest X3.23.0. Download the x3_updater.php, drop it into your X3 directory, and access it by URL brise18.de/x3_updater.php.

Please let me know how the update goes, and if it resolves your panel issue.

Sorry to hear that. Can you try to fix it by following my previous post suggestion?

I am pretty sure this issue should not re-occur.
