Hi
A few days ago I bought the new version of Imagevue X3. I have installed this on my website www.thunderchoppers.com and when I send an email from the contact page I receive always the email in the spam folder.
Is het possible to change this and how can I change the name of the sender? Because now I see the name Root User.
And how can I change the social media icons on the left side? Can I use also Instagram icon?

First of all, emails and "spam" is an advanced topic, generally unrelated to X3. X3 just sends the email based on your settings. I will eventually write a post about this, but for now:

• Are you using SMTP? You should ...
• Are you setting the FROM field? Remember, it is your server (with YOUR email settings) that SENDS them email, not the visitor. This is covered in this topic.
• In combination with SMTP, the "FROM" email should be ALLOWED to send emails for that specific SMTP account.
• Further ways to avoid emails being filtered as spam, is to use DKIM and SPF to verify that your emails are authentic (not spoofed), although this is complicated.
• Failure to use SMTP and FROM field, may cause email clients (gmail, hotmail, spamcop etc) to apply high spam-probability scores to your outgoing emails, and thus, sort them as "junk".

So first of all, you need to set FROM field setting, and consider using SMTP for sending. These issues you have are generally not part of X3, and too large and complex to be covered in a simple reply.

See the reply above about setting the FROM field. Remember, the emails coming from your contact form, technically speaking, are NOT from the website-visitor who sends it, but from YOU and YOUR server. This is answered in depth here:

I assume you are using the SIDEBAR layout, and want to change/add social media icons at the bottom? Go to panel settings -> footer, and you can easily add links (for example instagram).
