I have a number of folders that contain sub-folders but no images. I would like to give these folders a pre-view image.


I have tried to set 'Default Image Link' without Success

What is the structure of the Link ?

Did you try to go to Tools -> Previews? The process will attempt to set preview images for parent folders from images in the last child folder.

Not quite sure what the problem is here. Your default preview image should point to an image that exists, and it will ALWAYS be used as preview image for folders/pages that do not have unique preview images applied in their settings.

after clicking on 'update preview image' a different link is displaying (?????)

Not sure what you mean. What different "link", displaying where? Also, what "update preview image" button are you referring to?

You need to explain a bit more what you are trying to do, and what is happening, and a link to the page in mention would help a LOT ...

Sorry, I am looking at your screenshots again now and I see something wrong: "Default Image Link" has nothing to do with your PREVIEW image ... Default image link is when setting up your images to LINK (as in when they are clicked). Preview Image for the page is set under page-> details:
