Hello Karl, where is located the icon that is displayed when I save the link on my smartphone desktop? Tried in many folders but I've not found that specific image. Running latest version of IV X3

Thanks!

What icon do you see? If anything, it would be /content/custom/favicon/favicon.png.

We removed other specific desktop icons since version 0.12.14, because it serves no greater benefit:

I see another icon I've made for the previous version. Since I'd like to have a different icon than the Davison one, there's a way to do that?

How did you make that and where did you add it? I can only imagine you may have added an icon in root "favicon.ico". There was no option for this in previous X3, so it must be an icon you added manually somewhere.

I don't know what more to say, we don't have icons for specific devices any more ... In earlier versions, there was some additional icons in the public/img/ folder, but they have been removed. Therefore, I don't know what to tell you, since you can't replace icons that aren't there. I don't know why your browser uses an icon that is not there, and not represented in the source code either (as it was before), but it could be your browser somehow found a cached version of an icon which no longer exists ...

We won't be including all these icons into the source any more anyway, as explained here:

This is the favicon.png I've now

but when I save on the smartphone desktop another icon appear (yellow square with a little K in the bottom right)

Probably it's a cache problem but I really don't know how to delete the previous cache or rebuild it. If you've a smartphone you can try for yourself so we can see the results.

Thanks!

Actually, perhaps it was not clear that the favicon is also loaded from the CDN

Damn, tried to purge the favicon but there's always the same icon as you may see here and I really don't know where it is taken from :-(

First one is from the site, second from the forum and the yellow one from the gallery...

if its not in your /public/img/ folder, then I don't know ... that folder doesn't exist in latest X3 releases anyway.

That icon could still be on your CDN ... although technically, its not referenced in the html source code any more either.

I'll wait for the CDN to fix this. Really don't know where it comes from :-)
