"noenlarge" option for gallery ?

Hello,

I'm starting to play again with the beta. I really like what I see but I'm somehow puzzled :
is there an option for "noenlarge" in the gallery settings?

the use case is to have a slideshow page using pictures in their native size instead of possibly enlarging them.
I like my photos small :-), even on a super full hd panel.

Thanks in advance,

Greetings,

Do you have an example page though? Normally, unless you are using the "wide" setting, the X3 page width is limited to a certain width. Also, if you click an image, the popup window will never show the image larger than its native size. Im assuming you are using the normal vertical-listing, which essentially is a layout that displays the image at full width of the page.

Since X3 is a "responsive" gallery, this is the default behavior. It will never display a small image at full screen width unless 1) You are using the "wide" layout and 2) you are using the vertical gallery layout.

Hi Karl,

The use case I'm trying to achieve is one of the start page X2 proposes (see PM for my gallery X2 & X3) : a simple slideshow in the welcome page but "smaller photos". So it's not in a slideshow box that comes from a click and where pictures wouldn't be stretched. It's just there in the background of home. Also, when you remove the "wide" parameter, then the whole viewport is reduced, which isn't desired on desktop.
See PM for examples

Thanks,
Sylvain

Ok, so I see in your example that you are using the "slideshow" module. If you navigate to the samples folder in the panel /examples/gallery/slideshow/, you will find all the options for the slideshow module in the comments. On of the options "fit", decides how the image scales inside, and you can set it to "none".
Code
# fit // Image scale method // [cover, contain, scaledown, none] : default cover

slideshow:[width],[height],[ratio],[nav],[fit],[transition],[duration],[captions],[loop],[autoplay],[interval],[startFullscreen]

Sure. Personally, I am not a fan of this approach for X3 as a modern gallery, but that's my opinion. I don't like the empty spaces around the image, and the low quality 600px images look quite unimpressive on my macbook 13" 2880px screen.

Thanks Karl,

It worked, I'm getting the hang of all these parameters. It sure looks very powerful and shows how modular you kept it regardless of opinions, which is why your product is good, right ?

Z

That's right! 8) X3 is essentially very flexible, but the backside to that, is that we somehow have to deal with making all these settings more intuitive without bloating the interface.

Karl,

I'm trying to read stickies and all but what's the next steps :-)

I'm going to be testing the password protection more thoroughly soon and if it works for me, I'm guessing the only thing I'll be missing will be the music player, that I hope will remain as lightweight and discreet as the old one, somehow. And then ready to buy a final version :-)...

Pardon me if I missed the boat.

I am not sure I understand the question ... Is there one? :)

We are busy working towards launch of next "RC" release candidate update in August.
