25 May 2015, 03:48

Hello Karl, I've read this
There is already sitemap. The below links are the same:
https://demo.photo.gallery/sitemap.xml
https://demo.photo.gallery/sitemap/
in one of your past posts but there's no way I can access my sitemap here

http://gallery.kog.it/sitemap.xml

since google webmaster tell me
Code
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.

Network unreachable: Network unreachable
HTTP Error: 500
but the site work perfectly. Any idea?

Looks like your website structure is very heavy, several hundred pages? Seems your server isn't capable of looping through all pages to create the sitemap.xml ...

My second opinion? Just ignore it ... The sitemap.xml has no use for you (or most people), because X3 already indexes all pages in the menu, and Google will use that for indexing. Let's test it shall we? Let me search for a page in Google "gallery I Raduni KOG del 2013" ...

Works fine, and Google is indexing all your pages. The sitemap.xml does nothing in your case (and most cases in fact). The only reason we included it in X3, was because it could be done easily.

Good. So there's a way to disable the sitemap generation so that the server doesn't try to generate it every time?

No, but I see this should be an option. You can disable it for now by renaming the folder content/sitemap to content/sitemap-disabled.
