I'm referring to this setting My gallery is updated regularly about once a month or maybe twice a month during the summer so I'm a little bit confused if enable this one or not.

Can you suggest what's better for me?

Having a look at the depth of your website, I don't think it is a good idea to use the preload function. It is impractical to load the entire website for that many pages, and your server will struggle with the process anyway.

The preload function is perhaps better for sites with up to 20-30 pages.
