Some problems with Firefox browser

02 Feb 2015, 08:45

Karl, I have a some problems with Mozilla Firefox. I've checked this problem on 3 computers (2 windows 8.1 and 1 mac os x latest). The problem is the same.

You can see it on my website, for example on this page http://www.morgunov.ru/client/articles/ ... 6-08-2011/
Then open an image I see a broken picture. Sometimes I see a good picture. Firefox with the latest release.
In other browsers (Chrome, Safari) everything is ok.

And second problem. Fonts in the browser Firefox display incorrectly. In other browsers (Chrome, Safari) everything is ok. You can see it on my website (i.e. top main menu, content pages, headings).

This is a known bug, and will be fixed in forthcoming release.

Why are you adding custom @import rules in the custom css? You are loading google fonts two different ways, and using two different methods. Use the X3 font setting!

Yes, it works in Chrome, but it doesn't work in Firefox.

Yes, because you are adding fonts in a strange irregular way. As mentioned, use the FONT setting, NOT @import.

Karl, I'm use only FONT setting, without @import now.

The result is the same.

In your settings now, I see this:
Code
Cuprum:400,700,900,400italic,700italic,900italic|logo:italic,900|topbar:bold,uppercase|header:bold|footer:normal,small|styled:italic,bold|sidebar:uppercase,bold,xsmall
I am trying to diagnose something which I guess is related to cyrillic characters ... When adding a Google font, you normally have to include the cyrcilic subset. I checked the Cuprum font, and it should look like this:
Code
Cuprum:400,400italic,700,700italic&subset=cyrillic,latin|logo:italic,700|topbar:bold,uppercase|header:bold|footer:normal,small|styled:italic,bold|sidebar:uppercase,bold,xsmall
Let's see what happens when you add it like that shall we ...

Then I write add-on code &subset=cyrillic, latin fonts are not displayed correctly in both browsers Firefox and Chrome.
Without this code in Chrome everything is ok and Firefox is not ok.

You can test it on my server, Karl. You have login and password. They are still the same.

Subsets will work in next update V0.9 later this week, and this will likely solve your issue. Currently it is not parsing the subset correctly, thus it will not render correctly if the subset cyrillic is not included.

morgenius, like your pictures :)

I would like to know how you get your black and white, do you share your technique?

Presets or do you do it manually?

examples:

Thank you :)

This black-n-white photo was made in Lightroom, my manual settings, not special presets.
Look into Tone Curve and work with this setting.
