You mean you want to use the mega menu to display a single level of items instead of 2 levels like we have in the examples?

Technically that would not require the mega menu, but I agree it would benefit having a mega menu option like that for simply displaying a large amount of pages in the same parent category. I already have this noted down for integration later.

ok, so basically you want the mega menu to be able ti display three sub-levels instead of two? Currently we have:

- parent item
-- category
--- item1
--- item1

You want? -->

- parent item
-- category
--- subcategory1
---- item1
---- item1
--- subcategory2
---- item1
---- item2

The main problem is to visualize three levels. Two levels, we can add to columns like we have currently done ... Three levels hmm, not impossible, but it could be quite fragile ...

You mean back to the previously visited page? ... or up one level to the parent page?

The latter would require "breadcrumbs" similar to as we use here on this website:

I was hoping that maybe "breadcrumbs" module would not be required, but I guess it is ... It is however a module that would require some work, so you may need to wait a bit ...

will this structure be able to import to X3 or is it impossible?

X3 supports any structure just like X2, so yes it does. However, perhaps your question is if the "mega menu" supports that structure? The mega menu basically support TOPLEVEL > CATEGORIES > GALLERIES, and as far as I can see, that is identical to your structure 2010 > JANUARY > EVENT1. The mega menu does not support an additional level (at least not currently). Also, if you don't use the mega menu, default will be an unlimited dropdown menu that supports and depth ... and in sidebar menu mode, it does the same. So basically, YES, X3 supports any depth of structure.

You may need to plan your structure though from a design perspective, in terms of how a visitor would engage your website.

Basically yes, and you would need to rename folders from "myfoldername" to "1.myfoldername", eg. adding a number to make them "active" and in "order".

There is no strict rule that says you CANNOT use space in the name, but more importantly there is no reason why you SHOULD use space in the folder name. If you have a folder name "my folder", the url will become ugly "website.com/my%20folder/". Besides, you already have the TITLE available when editing the page, which is what visitors will actually see on the page.

The folder name should be kept as simple as possible, because essentially it is used only for the URL, which should be short, concise and not includes characters like empty space which makes the URL unnecessarily complicated.
