Trouble with moving pages between domains

25 Apr 2023, 06:29

I set up several new pages on my test domain and wanted to move them now, but I am running into problems.

The first site I wanted to move is this one: https://test.danielbollinger.de/angebot ... r%C3%A4ts/ (access: test/test)

I created an empty folder "angebote" in the target domain, downloaded the whole folder "businessporträts" from my test domain via FTP and put it into the new folder on the other domain. Then I went to the folder in the X3 panel of the target domain and clicked "Save". This is what it looks like now: https://www.danielbollinger.de/angebot/ ... r%C3%A4ts/

As you can see, it does work, but everything with images is off: Outside the gallery they don't show and the gallery layout is wrong. Also, hidden images do show up in the gallery.

Did I do something wrong?

This seems related to images existing in the source location, but not in the target location:

:white_check_mark: https://test.danielbollinger.de/content ... enburg.jpg
:x: https://www.danielbollinger.de/content/ ... enburg.jpg

Or possibly something related to special characters in folder names like "ä" and encoding.

Very strange. I made sure that every image on the page is in the folder and since they show up in the gallery, they are obviously there.

I found a workaround I can live with: Adding the images to the content again on the new domain (explanation see below). For the intro plugin to work, I need to rename the file. Gallery settings are set quickly.

I assume you're right.

This is the URL I get from the inspector for the gallery image.
https://www.danielbollinger.de/content/ ... enburg.jpg

I see the second ä is encoded differently than in the links you posted.

And did it work when you deleted and re-uploaded the same image?
