From gallery click the "view" button until you are in "edit mode". This is not always easy to find.

Is there a feature that lets me input a custom title once and populates that title to all the title fields in a particular gallery? Its a bit of a hassle to paste the same title 100 or 200 times.

Yes, there are options for this, but do you want to add titles for all images in all galleries, or just for some galleries?

Settings > Page > Gallery > Captions > Caption defaults (global)
Page Settings > Gallery > Captions > Caption defaults (per page).

The Page Caption defaults is what I was looking for, great! What's awesome about this is that if I want to title 98 images to "title1" and 2 images to "title2", all I need to do is to set "title1" in Page Caption defaults, and then go into the image edit mode to set "title2" for the 2 images which will overwrite "title1". thanks!
