Also, is there a preffered method to move all files to new domain?

You could simply copy over everything, but my recommendation would be:

1. Install new blank X3, and make sure it works.
2. Delete folders /content/ and /config/.
3. Copy folders /content/ and /config/ from old location to new location.

Same here.  I wish to change one of my authenticated domains from:

Old: gallerywings.com
New: galleries.fusionwings.com  (or maybe your licensing system just needs: fusionwings.com)
