New Release X3.28.0 :koala:
It's been a while since last X3 update, mostly because we have been working on our new Files app. Back on track with X3 updates, this release includes new SEO options, PHP 7.4 compatibility, updated plugins, encrypted passwords and several bug fixes. Read all about it in the blog!

Quick query. Updated existing site to x3.28.0 using the automatic option. It updates and iagostics confirms the lastest version. All good. However, when I go back into panel/tools/x3 updates/   it still asks me to update. I was hoping to see something along the lines of "your are already updated"or "you are already using the latest version". I hope it has updated :-)

Lovely new features and a lot of hard work by you!
I had some trouble using auto update, sent you a PM.
It is not clever to do this on a production site and on a changed hosting company.

Replied. Never had trouble with this, never heard any reports, and I always update production sites directly. Even if things go wrong, the updater simply unpacks a ZIP file ... Worst case would be that you have an incomplete X3 application, although I can't yet see how server could fail with that.

That's how it should work yes. Did you refresh the panel after updating? What version does it say at the bottom of the panel page? I would need to diagnose this properly ...

The update informed me that is had been successful. 

x3 update was successfully downloaded
x3 was successfully updated
successfully deleted 116 items in the /_cache/pages directory
successfully removed x3.28.0.update.flat.zip
successfully removed x3_updater.php script.

Unfortunately the panel footer still shows...

And the prompt to update still appears. I tried the auto-update 3 times and then gave up.

I manually uploaded the updator files through filezilla into my directory and confirm this now works!   x.28.0 in the footer and a "You are already using latest release X3.28.0!"  in the tools/update. All good now.   

I did try update on another X3 site I had (that I've hardly edited) and that worked on auto-updator. So I think I must have done something bad in mine - lol :-)

After installing the update x3.28.0.
I have a problem with a refreshing (F5) my page https://belovephotos.com/pricing/ . The browser shows me empty tab.

I can confirm that (Mac, Firefox 74.0). But I have no problem of that sort on my own site or any other page of belovephotos. Actually I think the screen isn't white, it's the background color.

Hi there,

Tried to update with the new release and observed that the layout of the galleries is deranged. The rollover comments now appear under the images and are partially hidden by them. The thumbnails are also smaller than before. Here some printscreens to show what I'm talking about:

Am I the only one to observe such a problem? 

Actually, I restored the old version for my galleries to look ok in the meantime.

Thank you if you could give me advice to solve that issue.

Seems strange, especially because we haven't edited any layout styles, and there was no idea about messing around with layouts. I haven't heard this reported, and I can't see anything different in the X3 demo, with link below having hover captions:

To diagnose this, I would need to see the problem.

• when did you update?
• Do you have any special cache settings? (site object, cloudflare).
• I checked your diagnostics ...-choisis.ch/Imagevue_X3/?diagnostics, and it seems you are updating from X3.24.3 to X3.28.0. Also, you are using PHP 7.4, which is only supported properly (without warnings) in X3.28.0 (for your info).
• Was this gallery first installed with X3.24.3? Or was it installed earlier even?

Basically, to diagnose this, I would need access to your panel, where I would update to X3.28.0 and test. It's easy to downgrade to an earlier X3 version directly from the panel afterwards.

- Yes, I installed the gallery X3.24.3 and didn't update it till my try yesterday. I use to have an earlier Imagevue gallery but not with X3.
- No special cache settings.
- Diagnostic after the update displayed everythink was ok.
