X3 Update 0.22.5
New minor release X3 0.22.5. Apologies for these late updates, but there were a few circumstantial issues that we wanted to fix. Upgrading to this minor release is not necessary, unless you specifically relate to anything in the list:
Fixed circumstantial bug in slideshow "undefined function hover_class_timer", if intro mode is enabled while autoplay is disabled.
Fixed X3 popup background bug when background color is set to "white"[forum].
Added fix to display uploaded videos below gallery, instead of above [forum].
Fixed so that there is always space below intro-image (plugin), also when directly followed by gallery or folders module (before, it could look like this https://d.pr/i/xOdq).
Video-intro plugin POSTER setting is now only applied if explicitly set from panel https://d.pr/i/4C85. If left empty, the video-intro will display first frame of the video, instead of loading the page's default preview image (which is often inappropriate).
We don't post the link public, but you can find it on our www.photo.gallery domain: /trial/x3.latest.zip (includes sample content) /trial/x3.latest.nocontent.zip (without sample content, only for upgrading)
The link is the same as in the email you received from us. You should therefore save or label the email so you can easily find the download link when you want to upgrade or download new.
I'm not 100% sure what this is, but looks like something from the cached version of your index page. Can you navigate to INDEX page from panel, and click SAVE, so the page gets refreshed from new version? See if that fixes the issue.
It's not technically an "error", but since your server is configured to report "all warnings", that "warning" appears, and basically corrupts the page layout. Your other pages are working fine, eg http://flaathe.eu/HDR/.
Your shared server has a max_upload_size set to 2MB, that is why.
You should really be optimizing your images better though. Normally, when you resize JPG's to max 1600 px, the file-size should be from 400 - 800kb per image. In your case, there must be a massive amount of meta-data stored in the images. You need to set lower dimensions before upload, or even better: resize and optimize your images before you upload them. See this post: https://forum.photo.gallery/viewtopic.php?t=8601
Feel free to send me one of those images. I bet those images will strip down to less than half size if you remove meta data.
Karl... what about a more comfortable and easy blog section?
Well, it could be possible use a model or a script, a sorting by date ascending, a minimum or any construction of folder for every news...?
This could open and improve a lot!
It's really not that complicated. It's just pages inside an X3 "blog" page. For each blog post, I simply upload an image and write some text ... You could even copy settings from one blog post when you create a new one, if it makes things easier.
With an extended blog-section, perhaps it could auto sort posts by date. X3 is still a folder-based website though, so a page will always be a folder, and I don't see any disadvantage of this. Let me know if you have any specific suggestions.
