HI!

I would like to use one of this nice patterns as background of my gallery:
http://www.theinspirationgallery.com/wa ... mask01.htm

The single pattern is 140x278 (pixel). But I don't get it work, that it gets repated to cover the full browser screen. In HTML its simple, by repeating the background. It doesn't work here.

Normal format of the pattern is GIF, but that didn't work, so I've saved it as JPEG. Now the gallery shows the image, but only once in the upper left corner.

Someone can help me please?

Thank you!

Danke!

Santamaria

Thats a good question -

The problem here is that flash is not html :( and Imagevue simply can not repeat backgrounds just like that.

For a future release, we will create a native function in Imagevue for repeating backgrounds. In the meantime, you must consider doing the following:

- You need to create a full size background in some photo- or drawing software based on repeating your pattern. Save as JPG, or import gif into flash and save as SWF.

Hi Karl!

Thank you for your answer. :(
Privily I hoped there exists better solution, than creating such a big background.

I used that pattern now in Photoshop to create a 2500x2500px big background! As JPEG it is about 1,6 megabyte.

How can it be, that the background of the "HOTHEAT" template, which is also a "patterned" big wallpaper, has only 60 kilobyte as SWF?

What am I doing wrong?
A background with 1,6 megabytes size is really deterring!

Hi Karl!

In the template "HOT HEAT" there is being used a similar background. As I can see the swf-file ist not full size, but integrated into the Gallery, it covers the full browserwindow.
How does it work?

Hope you can help!
