I was wondering if it would be possible to run imagevue slideshow (like shown here - https://www.photo.gallery/imagevue/slideshow.php) offline (from a CD for example) if all the necesary items are on that disc (nothing online)?

That will be possible some time soon. Unfortunately, its not current possible

Imagevue and slideshow uses PHP server script to read menu and folder, and it cant not do so from cd-rom.

We hope to be releasing a standalone version for desktop/cd-rom by spring 2007.

Unfortunately no - You can run the SWF standalone/locally, but it still needs to connect to a PHP server with the Imagevue files. Currently, you may already be aware that we are in the making of a new version of Imagevue. We will most likely look into an 'offline' version of the gallery afterwards.

You are welcome to give any thoughts on the standalone version if you like, so we can gather some thoughts on how it should be.

Are you going to use it for personal usage to simply browse images?
Are you going to use it as a portfolio to showcase images for example from a CD, and give to clients?
