Zooming to 100% height when viewing images

15 Aug 2010, 07:15

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get images to zoom in to fill 100% of the available browser height? (This is for the X2 gallery)

If you look here http://www.jamesshaw.co.nz/#/content/Ph ... G_0243.jpg you'll see that any of these images as you click through them in portrait just seem a little tiny.

If you hover over one of these images and click the little plus zoom in, that's about the size I want them. Is there anywhere you can specify this zoom to be 100% of the available height, up until the maximum size for that image, i.e. it won't scale them beyond 100% pixel for pixel?

Thanks in advance.

James.

There are 4 modes of scale in Imagevue. You can go to Admin -> settings -> image.image.scale and select another option than the default "fitmargin". In your case, you should try "fitstage" ... It will scale images to maximum without cutting them off (in the case of portrait-images, it would scale them to take 100% of stage height).

Just be aware that when using another scale mode, some of the interface elements may be overlapping your image here and there. This is the reason why default its set to scale down with margins ...

Also, when changing the scalemode, this will affect the default state of ALL your images of course. Landscape images will also scale to either horizontal or vertical threshold ... (depending on stage aspect ratio vs image aspect ratio).
