Thumbnails Page Shows Through When Background = False - v17

I brought this issue over from the Gallery Showcase forum for better exposure.
mjau-mjau wrote:I am on 1680x1050 screen resolution here, and you seem to be using a grey background which is smaller than that, resulting in some visible white fields on the sides. Since you are using a single color background, I suggest you open config.ini and set:
Code
background = false;
bgcol = [grey];
Set the greycolor you want as bgcol instead of having to use a background color.
I tried this however...

IF
background image = false
AND
the image displayed in the slideshow is smaller than the thumbnail viewer (most of my portrait images are narrower than the thumbnail viewer)
THEN
the thumbnail page shows underneath of the slide show

I believe this is how it is in the demo as well.

In the mean time I increased the size of my background file to better support the 1680x1050 resolution.

However I would like to use your suggestion when the thumbnail page showing through issue is resolved.

Thanks
Alex

Yep... that is what I see too.

It is confusing for the user because both the slideshow and thumbnail controls are displayed.

Karl... is the current behavior what is intended?

Gordo...

The work around that I am using is to use a jpg file that has nothing but the background color I want. Then using that jpg as the background image. If you specify a background image the thumbnail page does not show behing the slideshow.

Regarding a fix I think Karl will have to weigh in.

Hope this helps.

Sorry users ... This happens with galleries that have backimage=false. The workaround is easy. Just create and assign a background image that is the same color as your background.

In the meantime, I will fix the issue, and release an updated file within this week. Please stay tuned!

I went from not having a background image to having a background image and I've updated the files and I'm getting this problem. (It had been fixed when I had the backimage = false and I had uploaded the new files)

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

As far I see, you have a background image, that doesnt apply correctly for the slideshow module. I presume you are trying to get the same background to hide the gallery behind the full size slideshow image??

In that case, it still seems like you havent updated to the latest slideshow.swf and imagevue.swf files....
