Sorry i'm a beginner. I want to launch the portfolio/gallery of imagevue to open in our website page and not open in another page. Do you know what i mean. For example, the user would click a link to the portfolio and then it would launch in the existing page, the page they are on would fade or go darker and then the gallery would pop up in the same page.... does that make sense. What javascript would i need to do this? I've been searching the forums but can't seem to find any posts on this....

There seems to be two answers to your question ...
# first of all, it seems you may be referring to some javascript lightbox module that open a popup layer over your existing HTML page. Something like this:

You could proceed by downloading that script, and setting it up on your site and then linking to the imagevue gallery with this, so it opens in a popup box.
# Optionally, you could integrate/embed the gallery into your general HTML design. That would require creating some HTML page of course. I am assuming you are aiming for the top option primarily ...
