Yes, Imagevue supports flv right out of the box, the only thing you need to upload thumbnails manually otherwise you will have a generic thumbnail. Here are some examples:

You probably need to clear your browser's cache.

Also, FLV is supported in gallery folders, but not as an independent filemod (if you are trying to use a video as your "startpage").
