blank page after upload

i have downloaded the latest imagevue and uploaded to my site at www.digitile.co.uk/portfolio but all I get is a white page. I have tried uploading the folder several times and have also tried the imageview checkscript which says everything is good except for an exclamation on the EXIF.

Can someone help source the problem?

Help

I have much experience with installing forums and websites, being a designer... but to help you, you would need to give me FTP access to your site, and allow me to make any changes necessary. It is usually quite easy to find the problem, but from your post it's almost impossible to do anything, without asking a ton of questions, and waiting for the answers to come back...

Hi Softones,

Sorry not to believe you, I looked at your postings and I'm sure your not dodgy however I don't really wish to give access to the FTP of the company unless it's someone from Imagevue. Hope you can understand!

Can you point me in the direction of what to lookout for - for instance should I check that each file has downloaded?

Good website btw.

checked files

I've just checked the files and they have all been uploaded except that the server has added the file .htaccess (or maybe it's an invisible file) to the include and templates folders.

My server tells me that there are no incompatibility issues.

sorry for the delay (family duty called..) do you have all your uploaded files in "/portfolio/" ?? do you have your index.php in the portfolio dir ? where is the "content" folder placed ?? I understand you don't trust me, why should you?? the reason I answered your plea is because I know that Xmas may not be a good time to ask for help, whereas it means nothing where I live.. I don't think there will be much help for you until the Xmas holiday is past, so I will bid you a happy holiday, and hope you get sorted soon...

http://www.digitile.co.uk/portfolio/index.php when I go here, it tells me it doesn't exist and redirects me back to your "main site"
http://www.digitile.co.uk/portfolio/imagevue/ tells me the same thing !!!!

Have you set the permissions on the appropriate files??
you, hopefully... uploaded the files in BINARY format ???

as I say, without actual access to the host, it's difficult to remember all the points, which come naturally, but need to be remembered to tell someone...

If your main site uses html ( or such..) then it's a good idea to put imagevuex in the root... instead of a directory, then index.php wont interfere with index.html, and the configuration is a bit easier, and make a link on your site to the "Portfolio" ( just via http://www.digitile.co.uk/index.php ) and in your gallery make a link back to your "home" (http://www.digitile.co.uk/)... this means that your gallery will be accessed by clicking the link on your main site, or going straight to the url http://www.digitile.co.uk/index.php

I managed to get:
1
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/digitile/public_html/portfolio/imagevue.php:5) in /home/digitile/public_html/portfolio/imagevue.php on line 7

Warning: require_once(/home/digitile/public_html/portfolio/imagevue/include/ivComparatorFileProperty.class.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/digitile/public_html/portfolio/imagevue/common.inc.php on line 48

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/digitile/public_html/portfolio/imagevue/include/ivComparatorFileProperty.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/digitile/public_html/portfolio/imagevue/common.inc.php on line 48

It firstly looks to me that you may have uploaded the files in "auto" from your FTP prog... you should try again, but set the upload mode to "Binary" this then will upload .php files ok and not set them to "text". This happens quite often with forum files as well...
