I have a few questions because I am not so familiar with the programm:
1. where can I found the updates and of course after founding them; how to install?
2. I want to create one or more closed personal map(s). People should be linked to a close submap with pictures (imageveu) with a password that is personally given by me. How can I make that happen or is it impossible what I can not believe?

1. You can download updates from www.photo.gallery/downloads, and after download, simply upload them over your existing files.
2. You have to set folder passwords from the server. You cant do that with imagevue.
