more questions lol

05 Aug 2009, 01:59

Trust me I searched and read before I came here.

So I'm trying v1 and I love it!

Just a few tweaks:

1. Is it possible to have the next and previous arrows come in more from the sides like how they are in x2?
2. How do I get rid of the imagevue icon on the top right corner of the interface and I can I edit it to link to something else I would like?
3. How do I change the font right above the interface(the cursive font).

I see the site menu instructions but the demo links don't work. I really like how the main menu is organized but I really need to add an "About me" and "Contact Me" to the menu and right click if possible.

Great job on both v1 and x2.

TIA

Ron

I also would like to know if it's possible to set a number or start page images in the interface to show randomly?
Is there a way to make my descriptions show up beside my images somewhere like in x2?

How can I take the download image button out of there?

Sorry to say, many of your questions relate to why we built Imagevue X2 in the first place.

1. Sorry, the flexibility of these arrows are only available in X2.

2. Please see private message.

3. You cant change the font unless you edit the FLA source file, which we dont generally recommend. In X2, you can change all text with CSS stylesheet.

Did you check the config.ini for your gallery? There are a lot of settings there ...

Is there a way to make my descriptions show up beside my images after clicking the image to make it large somewhere like in x2, or some

All I've worked with is the config file...I find it easy to use.

Anyone know where I edit the right click menu for v1?

I also want to get rid of the download image button if possible.

Sorry, things were a little slow in these "last days of summer" ...

You want your descriptions to display alongside the full image? Isn ´t that the default behaviour?

Edit right-click is done through the config.ini ...

It only shows a description when its inside the box and not the pop up like in x2.

And where in the config does it allow you to disable download image?

My art is ripped all the time and I don't want to encourage it with these buttons and right click options.

I know its better in x2 but i like the look of v1 for my current site and there has to be a solution.

find the setting imagerightclick = 1,1,1,1,0,0,1,1,1, compare it with your right-click items(1 is for enabled, 0 is disabled). Disable the download item, by setting it to 0.

Not quite sure what you mean having it inside the box instead of pop up. Imagevue X2 is much more advanced than Imagevue V2, thats why we made it - It has much more flexibility in changing things.

Ok let me just make it more clear:

I want to get rid of every button and item in right click that says download!

The descriptions are not beside the image like in x2. I can live with this actually. Kind of a bummer though.

What I mean about the descriptions only being in the box is when you turn thumbnails off you can scroll through the thumbnails and that is the only time you will a descript.

Did you check the support pages with configuration settings list?
https://www.photo.gallery/support/docs/296

Use the navigation under "Imagevue Gallery" on the right...

Yes!

Mine is set to imagerightclick = 1,1,1,0,0,0,0,0,0 and the download image is still there when any image is enlarged.

Even your example on that page with imagerightclick=0,0,0,0,0,0,0 has download image in right click still.

I haven't even found the option to get rid of the download image button yet. I'll give that a shot.

Sorry about that - I guess we just had the impression(and was hoping for) that everyone wanted to use the new X2 version where everything is improved and settings are clearer.

It would help wit a link to your gallery (and perhaps FTP so I can actually take a poke around and edit the config.ini).
