Installation Problems

21 Jul 2009, 12:32

I have tried several variations to install the zipped folder for the imagevuexV2 install.

My domain: https://www.roddywedpics.com )

My host does support all the requirement necessary. https://www.ixwebhosting.com and I have the Linux Expert Plan.. clearly I'm not an expert. Please help me.

I first tried to uploading the the folder to load as my start page both unzipped by placing the folders contents in to the root. I also tried uploading it zipped to my root domain and unzipping it once on the server.
neither gave me results. I tried changing my permissions before I unzipped the folder to see if that would help as well. (I also tried the second option of placing the folder onto my site as a gallery and renamed which did show up on my directory but didn't work.

When I unzip the folder I have the following in my folder
Folder> imagevuex2.1.2.2_20090715
folder>content
embedDemo.html
folder>imagevue
imagevue.php
index_example.html
index.php
readme.txt

When I called my host for tech support he couldn't figure out the issue either. He did try renaming the index_example to just index which did get the loading page to work but it just spun loading and nothing else was visible. Prior to that I just get a 404 Error Not Found

I am using Linux so I did go into my CHMOD and change the folders to 777 for all the files listed below. As of right now all those permissions are set correctly and the contents listed above are sitting in my root folder.

{yourgallery}/imagevue/config/*
{yourgallery}/content/*

Optional:
{yourgallery}/imagevue/themes/*
* You must also set permissions on ALL file- and folder items within the specified folders.

I since then have re uploaded the folder and am attempting to start again.
The folder was unzipped with Stuffit Expander 12.0 and I am working with
from my Mac OS 10.411.

Thanks.Shannon
