Picture ordering

09 Oct 2008, 06:02

I seem to have a problem with the images into the gallery, i have numbered images, i.e.

001
002
003
004

etc
i have tried uploading one images at a time, or uploading all the images at once to the gallery, but it never displays the images in order, it seems to put them at random, is this something im doing wrong, or is there something specific that i should know.....

one other question - is there anyways of getting the config.ini file to accept Greek chars, (UTF8), and the gallery module to display the UTF8 Chars..

you can change the sorting order in the admin - manage - select your folder - on the right side, you will find the sorting dropdown menu.

Plugger is using version 1 of Imagevue.
Settings of Imagevue 1 must be made in config.ini.

To sort the images:
imagesorting = na

To sort the folders:
foldersorting = na

Still not working

20 Feb 2009, 11:36

I am also using V1 and am having the same problem. The config.ini imagesorting is set, as you said as "na"-- but the thumbnails do not organize in order they should. Its just random. Any suggestons? Conflicts? Another config I could set differently? I don't have the time to move to V2 right now, and V1 was working flawlessly until I noticed this-- just need to get slides dispaying inthe right order!

Also, this is running off my server online, MediaTemple, not off a local host, so its coming off the server in random order. Also the Admin module displays my thumbnails in the order they are organized, na, 001, 002, 003, etc-- but when uploaded to my server they display completely randomly

No, that was relating to an unrelated password issue. Still no luck with the basics of reordering images in V1

In your config, you have images set to sort by DATE -
http://www.lovebrain.net/paintings/temp ... config.ini

This is imagevue V1, and the admin may still sort images by name.
