create a gif-file 10x10pixels in black, and put that in your theme folder. link it right in the theme config, and put it on repeat x+y

Or you can also just enter the background color and remove the image link.

Thanks for reply. :)
Which tag should I edit to set the background color to black?
Would you be so kind to write the line of code... I'm a real beginner...

Sorry, we are so busy with V2 and the V2 forums that we sometimes miss out on V1 forum -

In the link you have me I see a black background - Why not just use the "carbon" theme that comes with Imagevue?
https://www.photo.gallery/imagevue/templates/

You will also find info on how to apply the templates. If you want to simply set colors yourself, that is done in the config.ini file. BGCOL and BACKIMAGE.

Thanks all :-)

I tried to set colors by myself looking at the home php code; I saw it used the bgcol variable in a config file, but even after working with tha variable in those files (they are many) - setting bgcol to 000000 - nothing happened. To be honest, in one case - I cant remember when - the Gallery hanged on 'Input...' and could no load.

What was wrong with that?

Just to know...

Thanks again :-)
