When I am viewing the slideshow, one can actually see a really low opacity of the same image on the page on the left hand side. anybody knows what went wrong?

website is at spencertan.com

This happens for me as well, although I don't get the same duplicate
'ghost' image but instead I get one image ahead of the showing image.

Thus far, I've not discovered any reason this happens.

WORKAROUND: A highly textured background seems to help
'hide' the image but it's a crap shoot at best.

NOTES: At the moment, this doesnt appear to be a problem on my site. I just rechecked it and the ghosts are gone. I made several changes to the site in the last week, including several config edits and a new background. Still not sure what might have caused this.

i too experienced this ghosting problem with an older version of imagevuex. i was never able to figure out what caused it, nor have i looked too closely to see if the problem still exists in the new version on my website.

I did a small test, to see the problem:

I set bgcol = 333333 and backimage = false.
I went to the slideshow, and made a screendump.
I opened this screendump in Paintshop Pro, and did a few times the one-step-photo-fix.

Then I saw it was the next picture, which appears like a ghost.
I made a picture of it: http://home.hccnet.nl/resc/pictures/ghost.jpg
I pasted the next picture in the right bottom corner.

yes indeed, it shows a ghost image of the next image to be displayed.

any solutions?

i havent really been able to see this with my own eyes, but obviously its proven. Imagevue loads the "next" picture into cache, and its alpha value is set to 0, so it should be invisible, but obviously its creating some ghost impression.

Please allow me some time and I will find a way to avoid this issue and release an update.
