Multiple Slideshows Issue

Hey Everyone.
I am new to the board and to using Imagevue. I would appreciate some help on what is a simple matter...
I would like to have a page with 5 or so links that open up a slideshow in a new window. I having trouble setting a global path, and path to get the sldieshow to work. Could anyone just run through it, or offer any advice or examples as I pulling my hair out.
I have been over the forum and setup files but I am old and obviously quite stupid.
