Is there a way to cache things?

Image vue is using 50% of Intel Pentium 3.4Ghz single core CPU on my server when I open the gallery ant it loads the thumbnail images.

My images are 1600x1200px about 1.5Mb to 2mb maximum size.

Is there any way to reduce CPU useage?

Here, the CPU is running at between 5-10% (2.4Ghz dualcore). The CPU usage may spike when creating thumbnails, resizing image or on heavy mouse rollover movement(here it spikes to upto 30%), but in static mode, there is little CPU activity.

Sounds to me like maybe your browser is choking? What browser are you using? Both firefox and IE are known to have had bugs where they suddenly choose to suck large amounts of CPU with only remedy being closing the browser and restarting.

You did not mean memory usage do you?
