Run Imagevue with pictures at another server

Hi all,
I want to run my gallery script at my webspace, but there isn't enough space for all of my pictures and I can't expand the webspace
I read at the FAQ that it is possible to store images at a different server as the Imagevue script, but I don't understand, how it works.
I hope someone can give me a step-by-step instruction.
