if you go to the www.modestbike.com click action>snow>1st thumbnail

the image is all messed up... the software created a proper thumbnail.. so why the image corrupted?

I think your image is corrupted. Look here:

The fact that Imagevue is displaying the thumbnail, just means that the PHP for some reason was able to create a thumbnail out of it. Most likely its just a minor corruption with the jpg header or something ...
