Help on hosting

28 Nov 2007, 16:49

I currently host websites on Demon however believe that because of the PHP it will not support imagevue. I therefor thought of using easyspace. Does anyone host on easyspace or can confirm it will be ok ??

I'm looking for a host that is not too expensive but UK based. My imagevue website will only be used in a limited fashion.

Any help/comments gratefully recieved.

Once this is sorted I can start to configure and see what I have purchased.

Many thanks in advance.

I checked their site www.easyspace.com and it seems they are able to fully support Imagevue -

If they have any options on sign up, I would just try to make sure you get LINUX server with PHP. You would then be sure of it supports Imagevue 100%.

Thanks for the reply and yes Easyspace does support PHP etc. I have taken your advice and gone for the Linux server and managed to get the test site running. Very exciting. So now it's time to build my site and once done I will post so you can see the results.

Actually there is no such thing as 'imagevue support' all you need is PHP, with GD extension enabled.

There might be some other requrement but theese 2 are critical. We don't even need db.

You can read more info here:
