images uploaded. pictures not loading online

I've uploaded my pictures to a specific folder and they show up on the admin, they also come up in admin to preview if you hit the link. Trouble is, they aren't showing up online for the viewer. Any ideas? I've chmod'd everything to 777, and the photos are there, any ideas? thanks
