Config questions

I've just installed my new purchase at http://rendez2k.co.uk (under gallery!) and have a few issues/questions
1. ImageVue is starting quite low down on the page - is there a way to change this?
2. Descriptions set in admin aren't showing
3. The pictures open quite large - is this due to original image size or is there a setting?
