Slideshow Controls Appear Underneath Site Menu

11 Oct 2006, 14:05

The slideshow controls are appearing underneath the site menu.

For an example go to http://kristi.merelyafleshwound.com

1. Select any of the galleries from the main menu
2. Select any thumbnail
3. You should now be in the slideshow and see the controls underneath of the site menu.

Afternoon!

Just checked this link out, but no sitemenu shows in the
slideshow portion... still relevant?

Hope all is well!
Site coming along nicely!

It is still an issue... it looked so bad that I put the controls at the bottom of the page as friends and family are viewing the site. However if I had the slide show controls at the top then would be displayed underneath of the site menu header that I have.

Karl... if you need me to put the controls back to the top to trouble shoot this please let me know and I will.

Thanks
Alex

let me explain a few things -

With the freedom of multiple settings, comes certain responsibilities also. There are a total of 29 different alignment options for the main controls(read more here: viewtopic.php?t=100&highlight=maincontrolsalign ). You have chosen one of them, so you have both sitemenu and maincontrols aligned at top of page. What did you expect?

There are so many ways to mess up the slideshow through all the settings in the config file, but it can easily be avoided.

Did you try increasing the maincontrolsmargin setting btw?

Karl...

I ended up moving the controls to the bottom of the page... and I will mess around with the margins.

However... I would expect that the slideshow controls would show up below the sitemenu.... it just seems that would be the intutive thing to do.

Thanks for the comments.
