Which file do you makes configuration changes to?

First let me say I did several searches on this forum and didn't find this particular question answered so thought I would ask it on a new topic.
I recently purchased the Imagevue application and was reading over the documentation included. I see a nearly endless list of configurable option available when setting up a gallery, but I don't seem to find any details on the particular file to make changes to. When I looked for reference to some of the options that could be changed I found that there are references in so many of the included “.iniâ€Â
No replies??

It's been about a week now that I logged this same question with the support option for this application, in which the reply of that initial question prompted me to try to post the question on their forums too. I've gotten the same amount of information on both fronts. I find it sad that an application that I actually spent money on has no regard for answering support questions, or so it seems. I find it quite interesting that with over 75 views on this post absolutely no reply of any kind on this question. I might be totally off base here, but I assume that with so many posts on this forum that “someoneâ€Â

Each of those ini files are relevant.
You need to know what you want to change in order to know which file to edit. Maybe provide us with more details
on what you want done.

Karl from Imagevuex was kind enough to follow up with me (in two different emails just incase your wondering why it sounds repeating itself, but points in each of the replies) with the details which I'll paste here for reference of anyone coming across the same questions as myself.
Karl replied:
Reply 1: To change the configuration for the Imagevue gallery, you edit "config.ini". To change the configuration for the slideshow in the imagevue gallery, you use "slideshowimagevueconfig.ini". To change the configuration for the slideshow standalone, you edit "slideshowconfig.ini".
Reply 2: The config.ini is generally used for configuration of the Imagevue gallery. The slideshowimagevueconfig.ini is used for configuration of the slideshow inside the imagevue gallery. The slideshowconfig.ini is used for configuration of the standalone slideshow. If you are using TEMPLATES, you need to use the configuration files inside the template folders. You may configure different settings for each template, yes.

I had precisely the same question and don't understand why so basic a question isn't directly addressed in the documentation. Say putting the name of the file to be modified above the list of configuration options?
Anyway, I had the subsequent issue that when I change the relevant file there is not effect (not for all but for many options) to my site.
