Can't get it working... Sigh...

Hi there,

I have been using Imagevuex for quite some time now and it's a great product (one of the better products on which I have spend my money on, to be more precise), anyways I was installing Imagevuex, but for some reason I am getting the undefined error and it does not create thumbnails...

http://auto.mvdl.info

Things I checked;

- no progressive settings whatsoever on the jpg's
- PHP installed and GD is working (checked with /test)
- checked every other thing I could think of
- using the latest version of Imagevuex from your website
- chmodded all the imagefiles and necessary directories

Please advice, I want this gallery up, so I can show my carhifi installation to my friends...

Thanks in advance.
Michel

Set:
Code
contentfolder = false
in config.ini

Yeah I already tried changing that to several things:

- false / true (yeah, true doesn't do anything, stupid me)
- subdomains/auto/httpdocs/content/
- subdomains/auto/httpdocs/content/Lexus IS 220d/
- httpdocs/content/Lexus IS 220d/
- httpdocs/content/
- content/Lexus IS 220d/
- content/

But it does not load and the directory keeps saying "undefined".
What am I doing wrong here?

Bleh... I tried several other things to get the gallery working, but no go at all. Weird cause I really don't understand what I am doing wrong here. :roll:

In which folders you did upload your pictures? It seems like it can not find the pictures.

Did the example pictures of the imagevue.zip work?

Yeah that was the weird thing, the dolphin pictures worked without problems, that's why I don't understand why it does not work.

Anyways, I installed it on my subdomain directory... Maybe that's giving problems?

I always could reinstall...? Or I could install it in the main directory and redirect the subdomain to that directory?

//edit

Okay I just reinstalled Imagevuex in the main directory of my website, though the demo pictures work like a dream, mines are creating problems. Really weird, I am going to resave my pictures once again and take a look if that is the problem...

Okay I tried lowering the quality of the jpeg's and saving them once again. Then I reuploaded, but alas still the same problem (undefined)...

Also I noticed the batch droplets do not work anymore with Photoshop CS3...

//edit

I am getting the feeling it does not create thumbnails for some apparent reason. Cause I reuploaded the demo images to the directory and still I get the undefined error...

...okay!

I finally managed to get it working, by placing the pictures in another subdirectory?

I created: /Car/Lexus IS 220d
But why doesn't it work directly from e.g. the /Car directory? If I place my images in there, nothing shows up?

Also will the droplets be remade for Photoshop CS3?

Looks to me like you are using only the slideshow module? Perhaps I missed something in your earlier procedure ... Atleast it looks like its working now.

Contentfolder is a setting for the Imagevue config.ini, and is not related to the slideshow module. If you are using the slideshow module, you can access any image folder at any sublevel(atleast as long as they are under the main imagevue folder).

Droplets for CS3? Ill certainly take it as a request. We would prefer to avoid droplets, which requires expensive software(photoshop). Especially as there exsists software which is free, faster and easier for creating batch resizes( f.eks irfanview). We were also thinking of creating our own simple batch resizer.

Okay thanks for your answer... :)

Yes CS3 is (pretty) expensive, especially outside the US. Anyways a custom made batch resizer would be just as nice of course.

Thanks for your time.
