Hi there

I have installed the slideshow ok and it plays ok, I'm stuck on the next step. Where and how do I edit the all info on the slideshow like backround, display text, get rid of question mark, which folder images are stored into etc..
I know most of it is php but which file do I edit

None of what you want to do is PHP, really. It's much easier.

Yeah, those pages are not that imformative on how to tailor the slideshow and get it to look like I want it to...
Any more ideas on where to edit code etc..?

If you are using the slideshow, then all configuration is done with slideshowconfig.ini.

Keep in mind, that if you are using a template, you need to edit templates/template_name/slideshowconfig.ini

one more question... I'm using a mac and I was wonder what application I should edit the .ini file with.

All you need to use is textedit.
