Will Imagevue Work on my new hosting account?

I have a windows account over at godaddy, and upon researching php support found the following:

"Due to security restrictions placed on PHP safe_mode on Windows Shared Hosting accounts, you cannot open files with PHP using the file commands like "fopen", "fread" and "fwrite". However, you may still include files using the include() method."

Does anyone know if this will limit or block Imagevue from running correctly in this environment?

Thanks in advance for you insight!

If you take a look here https://www.photo.gallery/imagevue/requirements you'll find a testing file that may help.

I know for a fact that imagevue works 100% on godaddy as long as its the LINUX hosting and not windows.

Hope the release candidate with SMTP support I sent you by email will help.

Sorry for the late reply ...

I checked your gallery, and I presume you have disabled the contactform because it was not working. I did however try to send an image by email, which uses the same script basically. When I did, I got a return error: "SMTP Error: Could not connect to smtp host" ...

I you are trying to use the SMTP option instead of the standard PHP emailer, but apparently it seems like you may have not added the hostname/data correctly.

Perhaps you can provide admin login so we can take a look at the send email settings on your server? There are some situations where the emailer refuses to send emails to email-addresses that are on the SAME domain as the site itself. For example somedomain.com may refuse to send emails to jim@somedomain.com ...
