Controlling by XML-file

I read that it is not possibble to control the galleries by an external XML-file, but that it is planned for a future release.
Can you tell when this feature will be available?
I'm really excited about Imagevue but I need the feature to control the galleries by a content management system so that I do not have to log in two separate admin areas.
This means that it should at least be possible to control the content of the galleries ansd the sorting of the pictures by an XML-file.
It would be great to get this feature one day ...
